Bullet Proof Productions, INC. ABOUT US Welcome to Bullet Proof Music Productions, Inc. Bullet Proof Productions was founded December of 1982. The first act signed to Bullet Proof was the Sai Whatt Band (pronounced Say What). Under the guidance of the founder, Mr. John Swanson, the Sai Whatt Band was signed to a major recording deal with the Total Experience Record Company. The group performed under the name of Prime Time. Prime Time members were Jimmy Hamilton, Frankie (Babe) Moore, Dale Hightower, and Maurice Nestor Hayes. Their label mates were the Gap Band, Yarbrough & Peoples, Switch, Pennye Ford, Billy Paul, and Goodie. It is also true that Bullet Proof was responsible for a number of other writers and artists landing major deals with the Total Experience Record Company. Some of those artists were Sparkle, Patty Howard, and Denitra Champ. The writers receiving exclusive publishing deals were Rick Adams, Jimmy Hamilton, Maurice Hayes, and Teddy Rabb. Songs first produced by Bullet Proof Productions were written and placed on albums recorded by the Gap Band, Yarbrough & Peoples, Pennye Ford, Prime Time, Ganiyu Gee Bello (Capitol Records), and Klique. In 2007, Bullet Proof Productions, Inc., was incorporated. After many years of managing and producing acts, Mr. Swanson conceived the notion that with the mere talent that surrounded him, he could go into any studio an achieve an independent commercial product that would rival any of today’s reproductions of original R&B music. Albeit our current music is classified as R&B, adult contemporary with a Latin funk flavor, our future endeavors may include Hip Hop, Gospel, and Country. The goal of Bullet Proof Music Productions, Inc. is to discover, groom, and introduce new artist to the real world of music by creating, playing, and performing live music.
